South East 4x4 Response (SE4x4R) provide 4x4 vehicle support in times of need to the emergency services, local authorities and charitable groups across Kent and Medway.
Although not an Emergency or Rescue Service, our speciality is logistics in extreme conditions and we aim to provide a reliable 24hour/365-day support service when other arrangements are at full capacity or cannot proceed due to inclement weather conditions or extreme terrain.
South East 4x4 Response are a team made up of highly trained unpaid volunteer specialists who give up their time, apply their skills and offer the use of their vehicles and their experience to serve the local community.
Volunteers from the charity South East 4x4 Response have been granted policing powers which will enable them to direct traffic on Kent’s roads and so free up Kent Police patrols.
Kent Police is believed to be the first force in the country to grant such powers, utilising reforms which only came into effect in April.
We are delighted and extremely proud to be able to announce that South East 4x4 Response is now a charity registered in England (1168367) with the stated aim “To preserve and protect human life and property, in particular but not exclusively by providing equipment, vehicles and other resources to offer support in adverse conditions”
